Client: University of the Arts (UAL)
Brief: UAL’s London College of Fashion commissioned Anomalous Visuals to produce a set of promotional ‘How To’ tutorial videos for their Short Courses and Widening Participation departments. With a focus on showing the breadth of courses available and the opportunities available at the college, the short films were aimed at perspective students and demonstrated varying practical techniques taught on the wide ranging courses.
Response: With such a variety of promotional videos required it was important to us that we captured the spirit of each course effectively. In order to record the class environment in as natural way as possible our videographer became familiar with the college and its processes, using a simple one camera set up to avoid unnecessary attention. Working closely with the individual course teams we showed there unique approaches to teaching practical fashion skills and interviewed a selection of students to tell there personal stories.
Results: The videos were used as direct promotional material on the UAL, London College of Fashion website and social media platforms.
