Brief: For the launch event of their Kaleidoscope range of colour make up at Harrods Fashion Lab, MAC Cosmetics commissioned Anomalous Visuals to come up with a fun and innovative way for consumers to visualise the product and interact with the display.
Response: Due to limited space within Harrods Fashion Lab it was challenging to find a solution that would answer the brief successfully. After experimenting with several build options we decided that the best solution was to create custom display units around the product area using large plasma screen TV’s. For these multiple displays we created bespoke motion graphics from the Kaleidoscope logo and promo materials. For the in-store launch event we created a custom iPad application that triggered and manipulated the displayed graphics allowing consumers to interact with brand placement visuals and draw them into the product display. Anomalous DJ and VJ also provided an additional live performance uniting the audio / visual aspects of the launch.
Results: Our visual display units and screens were placed within the main street windows of Harrods, at the top of the main escalators and within the Fashion Lab area surrounding the product launch. The custom motion graphics were displayed on loop throughout the launch event and for two weeks following to promote the Kaleidoscope range.
